BUSH RATTLES U.S. SABER YET AGAIN

Just two days after a US intelligence assessment stated that Iran had abandoned its quest for nuclear weapons in 2003, President Bush again threatens another disastrous war in the Middle East.

“The Iranians have a strategic choice to make,” Bush said Wednesday. “They can come clean with the international community about the scope of their nuclear activities, and fully accept the longstanding offer to suspend their enrichment program and come to the table and negotiate. Or they can continue on a path of isolation that is not in the best interest of the Iranian people.”

In other words- WAR.

If indeed the Iranians are working on nuclear weapons, which is by no means certain in light of the report’s findings, there are other means of settling the issue short of bombing the hell out of Tehran. But this is the Bush administration, which time and again has proven is does not understand the word DIPLOMACY. So fellow Americans, don’t be surprised if in the 13 months left of Bush’s reign of madness we find a new version of ‘Shock and Awe’ in Iran. Let’s not take that chance.
