CONGRATULATIONS AL GORE!

It was announced today that former Vice President and Environmental Champion Al Gore has, along with United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work on educating the world about the dangers to planet Earth. The chairman of the Nobel committee stated that Gore and the UN panel were the winners “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.” Gore stated that he will donate his share of the $1.5 million prize to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a non-profit environmental awareness organization.

Upon learning of his award Gore said, “We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue; it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level.”

When will the United States wake up to the dangers of global warming? Maybe when we finally get a Democrat in the White House!
