LOOKING LEFT STANDS BEHIND OBAMA

After weeks of debate here at Looking Left, we have finally decided to endorse the candidate we feel best represents the spirit of the Democratic Party and the promise of America’s future- Barack Obama.

Obama’s tremendous success on the campaign trail and his power to unite Americans of all races, genders, and politics make him an ideal presidential candidate to run this November. Not since the days of John F. Kennedy has the Democratic Party seen such a powerhouse of intelligence, charisma, and dedication to service that Obama brings to the table. He is an amazing candidate. He will be an outstanding president.

Our hats are off to Hillary Clinton, who has run a first-class campaign and who, undoubtedly, would be a fine chief executive as well. Though we love her, it is time for Hillary to step down in the interests of party unity. America is ready for a change that, sadly, Hillary does not represent.

But together, an Obama/Hillary ticket could defeat anything the Republicans throw at them. Let’s hope that these two wonderful Americans join forces for the November contest!
