OBAMA AND OPRAH CAMPAIGN IN IOWA

Talk show host and all around class act Oprah Winfrey once again lent her support to Barrack Obama as the Democratic presidential hopeful campaigned in Iowa this week.

In a recent rally held at Iowa’s state capital in Des Moines a crowd of over 18,000 people showed up to support Obama in his bid for the number one spot on the January 3rd state primary vote. And while other candidates, both Republican and Democrat, have been campaigning hard the past few weeks in the important state, the Obama-Oprah rally has drawn the largest crowd so far.

Winfrey said to the enthusiastic crowd, “For the first time in my life I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America.” She went on to address Obama’s critics who state that the candidate lacks political experience. “The amount of time you spend in Washington means nothing unless you are accountable for the judgment you made.”

The race in Iowa is heating up as Obama, Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator John Edwards are all close frontrunners. Perhaps Oprah’s presence and enthusiastic endorsement will put the young Senator from Illinois over the top.
